Association of Occupational Therapists (Gujarat)

Association of Occupational Therapists (AOT-G) earlier named as "Gujarat Chapter of All India Occupational Therapists' Association" was established nearly 50 years ago. It provided leadership to National Association (All India Occupational Therapists' Association – AIOTA) for more than 10 years.

The Association is registered under The Societies Registration Act, 1965 in May 2019.

Few achievements of Gujarat Chapter:

  1. It hosted 4 National Conferences so far.
  2. Gujarat was first state having Gazetted post of Chief OT.
  3. Gujarat University was first in starting Master degree in Psychiatric Occupational Therapy.
  4. Members of state chapter like Dr. M. R. Kulkarni, Dr. Pushpaben Manked, Dr. Ashutosh Pandit, Dr. S. L. Rai and Dr. Bohre were holding key positions in AIOTA. Dr. A. Can. Shrivastav and Dr. Minal Joshi were the Editors of IJOT (Occupational Therapy Journal).
